How to set a schedule on Vigor Router and how it works?

Manage a facility by setting a schedule for it to work automatically, is very convenient for people today. There are many functions in Vigor Router can work with the schedule profile in the Applications Setting, such as Firewall. This document will introduce the mechanism of the schedule in Vigor Router and operate how to set a schedule profile for you.

1. Go to Applications >> Schedule. You can see a table here with 15 columns, that is the total amount of schedules to be set in the router. Click an available Index to set a schedule.

1. Give a Comment for the Index.
2. Set a Start Date.
3. Set the Start Time. (For example, if you want to block users from 11:00~13:00, the Start Time is 11:00.)"
4. Set the Duration Time. (It is 2 hours from 11:00 to 13:00. So you should fill 2 in the hour box, and the End Time 13:00 will show in the below box automatically.)
5. Here are two options for the Action: Force On and Force Down.

   Force On applied to VPN Dial_Out;

   Force Down applied to VPN Remote Dial-In, WiFi and WAN(PPPoE).

   Bandwidth Limit, Session Limit and Firewall only consider Schedule Time setting, Action setting is ignored.

6. Set How Often you want the Schedule to work, there are some options for customizing.
7. Click OK to save the settings.

2. Now, you can see the Index had been completed and shown on the table at the Schedule page.

How to apply the schedule

Vigor Router recognizes the schedule setting by the Index number(up to 4), which is from the table at Applications >> Schedule, range from1 to 15. All of the conditions will follow the schedule you set. It doesn’t support to set the schedule individually.

For example, this is the Schedule setting in Bandwidth Management. All of the index in Limitation List need to comply with the boxes entirely.

To set the schedule for such functions, fill the Index number from the table at Applications >> Schedule in the box. Then the Schedule will work as the Index you set.
