Vigor Router can give you reliable Internet connectivity. It supports at least one USB port that you can attach a 3G/4G/LTE USB modem to add a backup wireless connectivity; furthermore, the router can automatically dial up the connection when it detects physical line failure. If there is no USB modem available, you may also enable “wireless WAN” to let the router connects to your mobile phone hotspot to get a temporary Internet connection.
Quality of Service (QoS)
While there are various Internet applications running on the network, Vigor Router supports Quality of Service (QoS) to reserve a certain amount of bandwidth for the business-related Internet activities. This will minimize the delay and ensure you good connection quality even when the Internet traffic is heavy.
Security is always and important issue no matter the size of the network. Vigor Router has a built-in firewall which offers advanced security features including Packet Filter, Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), Web Content Filtering, and Denial-of-Service (DoS) Defense. These can protect your network from various threats and enables you to always stay productive.
Vigor Router can be a VPN server that allows you to access the internal resources through a secure link while traveling. Not only the industry standard tunneling protocols are supported, but also SSL VPN - a type of VPN that can bypass firewall and NAT of public networks. LAN-to-LAN VPN is also supported which allows you to establish a secure link between remote offices/branch offices and access the network resources of the remote sites.
