About

The VigorAP 810 is a 11n 2.4 GHz wireless access point with business-grade features provided, including multiple SSIDs, AirTime Fairness, built-in RADIUS server, AP-assisted roaming and Mobile Device Management. VigorAP 810 is not just a wireless access point but also a 5-port Fast Ethernet switch, and it can be operated in universal repeater mode, wireless bridge mode, and also station infrastructure mode to bring wireless connectivity to devices which does not have built-in Wi-Fi.

Multiple SSID & Built-in RADIUS Server

VigorAP 810 can be used to provide Wi-Fi service to staff and guest at the same time, up to 4 SSIDs can be configured on VigorAP 810, and each of the SSID can be mapped to a different VLAN and have a unique security settings. You may set up a guest SSID which uses shared passphrase but have limited access, and a staff SSID that requires the more secure 802.1x authentication (instead of using a shared password, this requires a unique username and password for each user) but have the full access to the network.

When it comes to 802.1 x authentication, VigorAP 810 is also an integrated solution for a business network which would does not have an authentication server (i.e., a RADIUS server) deployed yet. VigorAP 810 can do 802.x authentication based on the local user accounts, and also act as the RADIUS server for other devices  (e.g., a router) on the network.

Dual LAN Subnet

VigorAP 810 support dual LAN subnet therefore it can serve as the access point for two physically separated network at the same time.

Acting as Wireless Bridge 

VigorAP 810 can also be used as a wireless bridge to connect to other VigorAP and deliver connectivity to wired devices through its 5 Fast Ethernet ports, thus to extend the local network to where physical lines are not available. The USB port of VigorAP 810 can be used for connecting a printer. Various operating modes are supported, VigorAP 810 can also be the wireless bridge and still accept wireless clients at the same time. Universal Repeater mode is also supported by VigorAP 810 for connecting to other brand's access point or Wi-Fi router to extend their wireless coverage.

Roaming

For a network where multiple access points are deployed, VigorAP 810 provides solutions to improve the Wi-Fi client’s roaming experience. While roaming is a choice of the client device, VigorAP  810 can help the client switching to another access point which offers better signal by the feature called “AP-Assisted Roaming”, custom conditions can be set including a stronger signal guaranteed.
