How do I reset the administrator password for my Vigor2000
?
1. Please connect your PC's COM1 or COM2 port to router's console port with a Console cable and RJ45 to RS232 (9 pin) converter for console cable which you have gotten from the retailer together with the router.
2. Then open the hyper terminal via Programs -› Accessories -› Communications.
The window below will pop up, please input a name, select an icon for this connection then click "OK" button to next figure.
3. Choose the port used (COM1/COM2) then click "OK" button to next figure.
4. Note you should choose "115200" for "the Bits per second".
5. Then you can select item 2 to change the Administrator Password.
