Q. I've noticed that, in some models, there are two antennas attached to the router, why ?

Please note the two antennas attached on the rear of the router are not just the same. The one near to the power switch is 'Main antenna' which can receive and send signal, while the other is 'Auxiliary antenna' which can only receive the signal. The reason for doing so is due to a application, called "Antenna Diversity". Diversity monitors the signal from each antenna and automatically switches to the one with the better signal.
