Why do I get a poor range with wireless access ?
To increase the wireless coverage area by DrayTek wireless
routers, you may follow the procedures below to enhance the
"Radio Strength".
1. Keep ray of sight clear.
Please make sure there is no "obstacles" between AP and wireless
stations. The penetration powers of 802.11b products are extremely
weak.
2. Try to place our Vigor2200We/WPlus in a "higher" position.
e.g. hanging it on the wall.
In home networking environments, people intended to their
home routers in a low, secret place.
This tendency makes no difference in VPN or routing functions
but it does destroy the wireless transmission.
3. Avoid other 2.4G interference sources, e.g. microwave oven,
2.4GHz cordless phone, and Bluetooth equipments. |
