Q.
What does function "Change default route to this VPN tunnel"
mean ?
From Web UI " VPN and Remote Access >>
LAN to LAN -› Profile Index : X -› 4. TCP/IP Network
Settings " , can see the function : "Change
default route to this VPN tunnel".
This function is used for VPN Dial-Out site only. If you enable
this function, after the VPN connection established successfully,
router will use remote VPN server's gateway to access Internet.
In other words, all the outgoing traffic will go through VPN
tunnel and go to internet via remote VPN server's gateway.
There are some restrictions when using this function.
If the VPN connection with this function enabled is established
successfully, then you can't build any other VPN tunnels on
VPN Dial Out site. And you can't remote manage Dial Out site's
Vigor's web configuration from internet even if you have enabled
'allow management from the internet' option.
Here is a solution to solve the problem above.
In " System Maintenance >> Management -›
Allow management from the Internet "
Enter the remote management user's wan ip in Access List:
Then after the VPN connection is established, router will add a static route so that traffic sent to 218.242.130.18 will not go through VPN tunnel but via router's WAN interface directly.
