What is PSTN life line function ?
Vigor2100V, Vigor2200V, Vigor2500V support a function called
PSTN lift line. They have a "line" port on the rear
panel for connecting to a PSTN ( regular analogue ) line.
That is with one phone connected to Vigor, you can implement
both VoIP call and regular PSTN call. Hence, the PSTN line
can act as a liftline ( backup mechanism ) for VoIP calls.
The liftline mechanism is activated automatically but can
also be manually configured. By default, the number you dial
is through internet. However, you can start a number with
#0 to implement a PSTN call. |
