How do I configure LPR printing on My Windows Vista ?
Please connect your printer to the USB port of your Vigor
router and see the status of printer LED on the router. If
the printer LED on the router is always off, the means the
printer isn't compatible with Vigor router. If the printer
LED is on, please refer to the following steps to configure
the printer on Windows Vista.
1. Please go to the page of "Control Panel -› Printers" to add a printer.
2. Please select "Add a local printer".
3. Please select "Create a new port", the select "Standard TCP/IP Port". And press "Next".
4. Please input the printer IP address, namely the LAN IP ddress of your Vigor router. And press "Next".
5. Please select "Custome" and click "Settings" button.
6. Please select the "LPR" protocol and input "p1" (number 1) in the "Queue Name" item. And press "OK".
7. Please install the relevant printer driver for your printer.
8. Please type a printer name. And press "Next".
9. Then you've successfully added the printer.
10. Please refer to the following steps to initialize the router/printer, then you could use the printer via Vigor router.
-› Switch the Router OFF.
-› Switch the Printer OFF.
-› Switch Printer ON.
-› Turn the Router ON.
