How do I configure LPR printing on Windows98/Me ?
Because the setting on Windows98 is the same as on WindowsMe, we take Windows98 for example.
1. Install the latest Vigor router tools for Windows98/ME on your PC. These can be downloaded from the web site. Reboot the PC.
2. Run the LPR utility from [Start] -›[ Programs]
-›[ Router Tools] -›[ DrayTek LPR].
3. Select "Search Routers" to locate the
router (by IP address) then highlight it and press "Modify".
This will select the port for LPR printing :
4. Next you need to go to [Start] -› [Settings]
-› [Control Panel] -› [Printers] -› [Add
Printer] and follow through the rest of the Wizard
to add the printer :
5. Select the type of your printer -›
"Next" -› tick "LPR Port Local
Port" -› "Next" -› "Next"
-› "Finish".
6. And then, you could use the printer via Vigor Routers.
Note : to initialise the router/printer, please
-› Switch the Router OFF.
-› Switch the Printer OFF.
-› Switch Printer ON.
-› Turn the Router ON. |
