Q.
How do I make my PC always get the same IP from DrayTek router's
DHCP server?
If you are using the DHCP server facility on the router, you
may reserve up to 10 allocations so up to 10 clients may always
get the same IP addresses. You can do this from router's telnet
prompt with the following syntax.
srv dhcp fixip add ‹IP Address› ‹MAC Address›
‹Host ID›.
You may follow the examples below.
1. Please execute the "DOS command prompt" and type the command
"ipconfig /all" to find both MAC address and Host ID of the
designated PC.
2. Telnet into your router and type the command "srv dhcp
fixip add ‹IP Address› ‹MAC Address›
‹HostID›, as depicted in the picture below.
3. Execute the "DOS command prompt " and type the following
commands " ipconfig /release " and "ipconfig /renew". Now
the designated PC will get the specified IP 192.168.29.12.
You can delete the fixed DHCP IP address assignments with
the del command, for example: srv dhcp fixip del 192.168.1.12.
The 'clr' command will clear all set values. |
