Q. How to upgrade firmware for Vigor2000 ?
It is suggested to enable the TFTP mode from the console port
menu. You will need the serial console cable which is supplied
and use Windows Hyper Terminal:
1. Plug one end of the console line into the "Console" port of the router and the other end into the "COM/Serial" port
on your PC.
2. Follow the route to click: Start / Programs / Accessories / Communications, and execute the "hyper-terminal" program.
3. Select the port COM1 or COM2 to be used and pick out its BAUD rate at 115200.
4. Please be sure to press any key before the router starts again. After that, TFTP's receiving function is enabled.
5. In order to upgrade your router's firmware, please click
the "Send" button on the Firmware Upgrade Utility when you
see the router's ACT LED and LNK LED blink together. |
