Q.
I failed to upgrade Vigor Router's firmware from my Mac machine
constantly, what should I do?
Due to some hardware incompatible issues, users using Mac
OSX are recommendable to upgrade firmware by the following
solution - Remote Firmware Upgrade ( FTP ).
1. Enable Remote Firmware Upgrade option via Management Setup.
Please make sure that FTP port (21) is not
used by other PC.
2. Connect Mac machine to Vigor Router. Make sure it has obtained
an IP from Vigor Router.
3. Open the FTP software.
4. Indicate Vigor Router's IP, input User Name, Password (
the password is necessary ), FTP port numbers then press Connect.
5. Drag the firmware file ( .all file format ) to Vigor Router.
6. After the transmission is complete, please browse Router
Web Configurator to check if the firmware has beed successfully
upgraded.
Furhtermore, the Remote Firmware Upgrade ( FTP ) option can
also be used to upgrade firmware while PC is not connected
to Vigor Router directly.
