What's the 802.1X
?
This new wireless networking security architecture 802.1X
used in the Vigor2600 series products, centralized security
management and supports dynamic single-session, single-user
encryption keys integrated with network logon. This security
solution dramatically simplifies the administration and management
of the network by eliminating the deficiencies of static Wired
Equivalent Privacy (WEP) key management, giving IT managers
the confidence to deploy a secure enterprise-wide wireless
solution for their users.
How to create a enable 802.1x service on my private
subnet?
1. Establish a Windows domain or join a exist domain.
2. Select a Win2000 server logon into this domain and upgrade
to service pack 4.
3. Configure this Win2000 server to be a CA
server.
4. Configure this Win2000 server to be a RADIUS
server.
5. Configure Vigor router
for 802.1x.
6. Configure your Wireless
machine from 802.1x.
