Support Center Application Notes ISDN Application Notes CallBack

Some offices would offer servers to let their employees connect to their server from ISDN for working at home. However, the employees do not need to pay any money for these calls because the servers will callback the employees to shoulder the cost.
Vigor Router supports ISDN Call Back function in both server and client mode. Please refer to the following samples for setting up ISDN Call Back.

-ISDN LAN to LAN-

Server Settings :
Create a LAN to LAN profile via VPN and Remote Access Setup -> LAN to LAN Profile Setup.

    -Enable this profile.
    -Select Call Direction as Dial-In.
-Set Idle Timeout to 0 to remain the ISDN connection.
-Input Username and Password for Call Back authentication.
-Enable Call Back function and input Call Back Budget.
(note: if the call back budget value is zero, Vigor will not call back to remote site)
-Input Remote Network's IP and mask.

Client Settings:
Create a LAN to LAN profile via VPN and Remote Access Setup -> LAN to LAN Profile Setup.

    -Enable this profile.
    -Select Call Direction as Dial-Out.
-Select ISDN as the type of the server.
-Input Dial Number for ISDN server.
-Input Username and Password for Call Back authentication.
-Mark Require Remote to Callback option.
-Input Remote Network's IP and mask.

Then please ping remote network ip (192.168.0.1) to trigger the ISDN LAN to LAN Connection. When the client calls the server, and then pass the authentication of callback to get the callback right, the server would disconnect the call , and then the server will callback the client to re-connect the line.
