1. ISDN S0 application
note.
Note : Only Vigor2930VS supports the
S0 function at the moment.
Vigor2930VS have the new S0 interface which allows users to
connect ISDN phone to the S0 interface and make calls to ISDN
or VoIP networks flexibly. Let's follow the instruction below
and see how to use the S0 function.
What is S0 ?
The ISDN S0(1) port on Vigor2930 series is fixed to connect
phone forever and the LED on the Connector will light orange
always. However ISDN S0(2) port on this device
is configurable for connecting phone or accessing Internet
according to the settings that you adjust on WEB UI ( please
refer to VoIP >> Phone Setting for detailed
information ).
Vigor2930 "S" series models support two ISDN ports.
ISDN S0 port (1) is dedicated for ISDN phone ( NT mode ) and
ISDN S0 port (2) is configurable for ISDN line ( TE mode )
and phone ( NT mode ) if required.
Take the figure below
as an example
1. ISDN port 1 can connect to two ISDN phones.
2. ISDN port 2 can connect to ISDN PBX or ISDN line from ISP.
