The Vigor2500V is a user-friendly ADSL firewall/router with a built-in VoIP (Voice over IP) telephone port. The phone port also provides life line for automatic failover to your regular phone line in the event of power or Internet failure. The visual design, with it's with natural style, pleasing lines and and brushed silver finish provide good looks to fit into any environment.

ITSP Application :
The Vigor2500V's VoIP facilities can provide a cost-saving alternative to having an additional fixed-line. By using the DrayTEL PSTN gateway (ITSP) you can also make calls to any regular phone line too, including mobiles, as well as receive calls from anyone - the call is carried to your phone via your internet connection so your regular phone line remains free for other people/calls.

The Vigor2500V's firewall provides the ideal balance of ease of use, and security to help protect your network.

Email Application :
The Vigor2500V series router has E-mail detection machanism for notifying users that the POP3-mail server is holding E-mail. There is an LED marked "e-mail". You can set your router to periodically check for whether there are E-mail at POP3 protocol mail server of your ISP or other E-mail provider.

The E-mail LED will light if there is E-mail waiting for you to retrieve them. You have up to five different PoP3 accounts checked. The E-mail detection lets you see whether you have E-mail waiting without truning on or log into your PC.

VoIP Application :
Vigor2500V lets you make the jump from dial-up to ADSL broadband but also provides the value added features of VoIP to help you make the most from your ADSL line. VoIP calls over your ADSL broadband connection can be made to any other compatible device, anywhere on the Internet and anywhere in the world, free of charge. Through an Internet Telephony Service Provider (ITSP) such as DrayTEL, you can also make calls to any traditional phone line (landline or mobiles), as well as receive calls from anyone, via an ITSP who provides a gateway.
